Thanks to a new and innovative refrigerant, most of the ultra deep freezers by tritec® are now equipped with a state-of-the-art and innovative refrigerant, which complies with the EU regulation on fluorinated greenhouse gases. The only exception is the ultra deep freezer TC 300 which still relies on a conventional refrigerant.
The so-called F-Gas regulation (EU) No.517/2014 came into force on January 1st 2015 and has the goal of the gradual restriction of partly fluorinated hydrocarbons. It regulates that the CO2 emission is decisive when using refrigerants. With a GWP of 3 or 6, tritec® offers laboratory ultra deep freezers with an extremely low emission.
